Arc Raiders Root Of The Matter Quest Guide

In Arc Raiders, you’ll spend a lot of time scavenging for resources on the surface to help the settlement of Speranza grow. One of your goals is a quest called “Root of the Matter,” which sends you to the Research Building to locate a seed vault. If you’re already there and need help finding it, this guide will show you exactly where to look.

You don’t need to gather any items for this task. Since the Research Building and its surroundings are quite dangerous, we suggest equipping a basic loadout unless you’re a very experienced player.

When you’re ready to find the seed vault and wrap up Root of the Matter, follow the steps below.

Where to find the seed vault in the room with a great view

In Root of the Matter, your first goal is to go to the Research Building. You’ll find it to the right of Marano Park, but be warned – it’s a busy and dangerous place! Expect to encounter other players looking for a fight, and plenty of ARC robots both inside and outside the building. Be particularly careful if you approach from Marano Park, as that area is often patrolled by large groups of ARC.

When you get to the Research Building, look for the room with the large window and a view of the park – it’s on the west side. Inside, you’ll find a cylindrical seed vault leaning against the wall. Open it to collect the seeds.

With the quest finished, feel free to keep exploring and fighting as much as you like. You don’t have to collect any specific items to complete it. If you want to escape safely, head to the Northern Station, which is northwest of the Research Building. Be careful on the stairs though – the train stations in this area often have explosive traps called Pod ARCs, so watch out for those! Good luck out there.
