In “Wuthering Waves”, there is frequently a significant occurrence in which participants can take part to amass substantial prizes. Typically, these occasions align with the game’s primary narrative, meaning that you often need to complete or advance to a specific stage in the story to trigger them.
Event from Yesteryears, introduced with game update 2.2, is one you might be interested in. If you’re puzzled about how to tackle this event or aiming to wrap it up swiftly to reap all the rewards, here’s a comprehensive guide that will walk you through every important detail related to the event.
Winds Of The Past Event Eligibility
In the narrative of version 2.2, “Winds of the Past” is closely connected with the tale titled “The Maiden, The Defier, The Death Crier“. To experience this event, you must venture into the region known as “The Avinoleum“, though doing so will grant you access only to its initial chapter.
To finish every aspect of this event, collect its rewards, and unlock the full experience, it’s essential that you work your way through the entire storyline of the quest. Unfortunately, there is no possibility to skip the narrative since the event encompasses areas in The Avinoleum region that can only be accessed by advancing the main story.
Winds Of The Past Event Guide

Winds of the Past is organized into three primary sections: The Pilgrim’s Journey, Return to Hallowed Grounds, and Revealing the Break of Day. Within each of these segments, there are smaller tasks with specific prerequisites that must be accomplished in order to earn the rewards.
Journey Through The Pilgrim’s Path

In The Avinoleum, this event breaks down into five distinct activities that you can accomplish sequentially as you advance.
Task | Location Image | Description |
---|---|---|
Reach Avinoleum in the sky | ![]() | The first task can be completed simply by progressing the story. |
Spend the first night in Avinoleum | ![]() | This task is also completed as part of the story. This is considered complete when you deposit the first sword Tryvine on the pedestal, and you are asked to rest for the night and progress to the next sword on the next day. |
Complete Echo Challenge: Flight once in Avinoleum: Ground Remains | ![]() |
You can reach the location by simply clicking proceed on the event page, and the game will guide you to the exact spot. This challenge is pretty simple, as all you have to do is pass through a couple of checkpoints similar to the flying Echo challenges in the rest of Rinascita. Once you reach the final checkpoint, the challenge will be considered complete. |
Complete Treasure Spot Challenge Two | ![]() | You need to locate four chests in the marked location. Use your scanner to locate the chests, as they are very easy to find since all of them are placed in an enclosed space and are hard to miss. |
Complete Flash Dodge Two | ![]() |
You can reach this by simply clicking proceed, as the game will direct you to the location. This challenge is pretty simple, as you will have to stand on a platform where lightning will strike, and you need to dodge it to the best of your ability. Once you successfully dodge all the lightning and the timer runs out, you will receive the reward. |
At the point where you encounter the Flash Dodge Two hurdle, you might not see it right away as some foes need to be defeated first. If you can’t locate it, don’t worry, simply take care of the opponents instead.
Treasure Spot Challenge Two Guide

This challenge may not be the most complex, but it could prove tricky if you’re rushing. Remember to have your Scanner ready before you begin. The initial treasure chest is situated at the base of the shattered tower, and you’ll encounter a few adversaries there. Overcome these enemies, and the first chest will automatically open for you in the very spot where the fight occurs.
As a keen explorer, I’d navigate to the shattered tower, climb its first rung, and there, I’d find the first treasure chest. After unlocking it, I’d activate the Scanner once more, then fix my gaze on the spot where the next chest, the second one, is hidden on this very floor.
After performing that action, both the third and fourth towers’ peaks will become visible at the summit of the damaged structure.
Revisiting The Sacred Venue

As a participant, I’ve noticed that this exciting occasion is structured much like the initial event, split into five distinct challenges. To savor all the perks, it’s essential for me to tackle each task independently.
Task | Location Image | Description |
---|---|---|
Spend the second night in Avinoleum | ![]() | This is tied to the story, and you need to deposit the second sword called Hognis, to complete it. |
Complete Cloud Platformer Once | ![]() |
You can reach this by clicking proceed on the event screen. This challenge is like a Metroidvania platformer where you have to walk on a cloud in a 2D setting. However, there are no puzzles. All you have to do is keep running through the platforms and, when needed, use your Grapple ability to pass the gaps. |
Complete Flash Dodge One | ![]() | Similar to Flash Dodge Two from Journey Through the Pilgrim’s Path, where you need to dodge a couple of lightning bolts and keep doing it until the timer runs out. Once the timer is done and you have dodged through enough lightning, you receive the reward. |
Complete the Dream Patrol Challenge of Avinoleum Dreamscape Nexus | ![]() | This is a combat challenge where you have to defeat waves of enemies while defending a nexus in the middle. The nexus needs to be maintained at a minimum of 60 percent integrity so that you can receive the full rewards. You will face five waves of enemies, including some basic mobs from Rinascita and a few knights. |
Complete the Overflowing Palette near the Hall of Swordsmanship | ![]() | This challenge is similar to every other Overflowing Palette you must have come across in Rinascita, where you need to get all the blocks to the same colour within a limited number of moves. In this particular one, you need to take all of them to yellow within four moves. |
Overflowing Palette near the Hall of Swordsmanship Guide

The aim for this Palette is to fill every block with yellow in just four steps. Firstly, transform the blue blocks situated at the upper half of the screen into green. Subsequently, press the green blocks to convert all of them into red.
Lastly, please click on the blocks situated at the bottom that are currently blue and change them to red. Additionally, clicking on a red block and switching it to yellow will conclude the task.
Unveiling Of The Dawn

Task | Location Image | Description |
---|---|---|
Return to Porto-Veno Castle and find Canterella | ![]() | Complete the main story quest, The Maiden, The Defier, The Death Crier and talk to Canterella in the end. |
Complete Boat Racing One | ![]() |
The objective of this event is very simple: you need to use the gondola to pass through checkpoints and reach the finish line. You can reach the location by clicking proceed on the event tab, and the game will guide you to the location. |
Complete Ace Wings Two | ![]() | This challenge is very similar to the previous Flight Echo challenge from Journey Through Pilgrim’s Path, except here, you need to use the Flight skill to chase a spark while passing through certain checkpoints. |
Complete the Challenge in the hidden area in “Should the Shooting Stars Blaze” | ![]() |
This is tied to a quest called Should the Shooting Stars Blaze, but all you need to do is proceed through it, and eventually, you will come across a challenge similar to Ace Wings where you need to follow a spark while using the Flight skill. The quest location can be reached by simply clicking proceed on the event page. |
Defeat Coercitors: The Verdict | ![]() |
Here you will fight a level 120 boss called Coercitors: The Verdict. Defeating it will complete the challenge. The best team for this is Carlotta, Canterella, and Shorekeeper where you will get both damage as well as sufficient healing. The boss is a combination of one big enemy with a sword and two bow users. While the movesets aren’t anything special, you will have dodge its attacks, else you will die very easily, even with level 90 characters. |
In this battle, the character wielding a sword can die just once, whereas those armed with bows can revive multiple times until your overall health meter at the top depletes. The archers pack a punch, but they possess less vitality than the sword-wielder. To succeed, focus on dodging and use Shorekeeper’s ultimate ability as frequently as you can. If your characters are well developed, you should finish the fight swiftly.
