As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that Honkai Star Rail has been a rollercoaster ride of surprises and intrigue. However, it seems like HoYoverse has developed a peculiar penchant for the Imaginary Element in recent updates, which, while not necessarily a bad thing, can feel a bit overwhelming at times.
In each Special Program of Honkai Star Rail, there are plenty of surprises, and Version 2.6 is no different, yet it’s clear that HoYoverse shows a bias towards the Imaginary Element, a trend that’s been noticeable in their recent banners. The latest characters debuted have made this preference quite evident, and it appears that the Imaginary Element isn’t wrapping up soon as more imaginary characters are on the way. I hope you’re not growing tired of this combat style because it seems we’ll be seeing a lot more of it in the future.
All Honkai Star Rail 2.6 Announced Banners

In the Honkai Star Rail 2.6 Special Event, it was revealed that the new five-star character Rappa will appear on upcoming banners. This unique character who combines ninja and rap skills, and is a street artist, follows the Path of Erudition. Interestingly, she falls under the Imaginary Element. Accompanying her will be her five-star Light Cone, Ninjutsu Inscription: Dazzling Evilbreaker. To make things more exciting, Rappa’s introduction coincides with Imbibitor Lunae’s re-run. Notably, after undergoing a transformation, Imbibitor Lunae is now an Imaginary and Destruction character, similar to Dan Heng who was yassified before joining the Imaginary Hunt’s side on March 7th, even though he wasn’t a five-star then.
In Special Program 2.6, HoYoverse mentioned that in the upcoming phase 2 banners, a major gambler in Honkai Star Rail, Aventurine, will reappear. This character is another member of the Imaginary Element and serves as an exceptional Tank at present. Meanwhile, to offer something new, another character from Nihility and Lightning will also be rerun during this phase; that’s right, we’re referring to Acheron. So, if you have any characters from past banners such as Jiaoqiu, Kafka, or Black Swan, now could be the perfect time to acquire Raiden’s counterpart.
You might believe it’s not much to go on with these few characters, but Honkai Star Rail has been hinting at the arrival of an angel that could lead many astray, this coming Sunday. If you’ve also noticed the Imaginary Element associated with this character, kudos to you! Few others saw it coming, and even more were surprised to discover that its Path is Harmony. What stands out most is the observation that several characters in this Element share a strikingly similar role. I won’t argue about their Path or fighting style as long as there are more potential husbands and wives to collect!
