This weekend, Steam players can get Warhammer: Vermintide 2 for free! Developer Fatshark is giving it away as a special promotion.
Between now and November 23rd at 6:59 PM Pacific Time (9:59 PM Eastern Time), you can add Vermintide 2 to your Steam library.
Normally costing $30, the game is currently free from Fatshark to celebrate a decade of their “Tide” series, which began with Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide in 2015. This celebration also features new content for both Vermintide 2 and Warhammer 40K: Darktide.
The celebration of 10 years of Tide isn’t finished yet! Now’s a great chance to introduce your friends to Vermintide 2. Download the game on Steam this weekend, and you’ll get to keep it permanently – forever!

Vermintide 2 is a team-based game where up to four players fight together against the forces of Chaos and massive armies of rat-like creatures called Skaven. It’s similar to games like Left 4 Dead, but instead of shooting zombies, you’ll be using swords, axes, and other melee weapons to defeat your enemies.
Vermintide 2, which launched in 2018, continues to receive regular updates and support from its developers, Fatshark. Last year, they added a new Versus mode, and over the years, the game has benefited from numerous improvements and free downloadable content. Recently, they even brought back a popular location from the original Vermintide – the Return to the Reik level.
Vermintide 2 has been offered as a free trial before – Fatshark did this in 2022. You can also buy the full game on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Plus, it’s included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Standard, and PlayStation Plus Extra.
Steam has lots of great free games, but if you’re looking for a bargain, Vermintide 2 is an incredible deal this weekend.
