As a huge movie and music fan, I’m actually really excited about Thanksgiving this year! The NFL is doing something cool with their halftime shows. Jack White, Post Malone, and Lil Jon are all performing! Seriously, there’s something for everyone – unless you really don’t like any popular music, I guess. Jack White kicks things off as part of the Detroit Lions-Green Bay Packers game at 1 p.m. ET on Fox – he even announced it with a vinyl pressing on Instagram, which is so cool – and CeCe Winans is doing the national anthem. It’s shaping up to be a great Turkey Day!
Post Malone, the singer known for his country roots, will perform during the halftime show at the Dallas Cowboys game against the Kansas City Chiefs on CBS, starting at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time. As a lifelong Cowboys fan from Texas, he said it’s a dream come true to perform at the game and participate in the Red Kettle Kickoff with The Salvation Army, helping to bring hope to others. Interestingly, Post Malone’s performance is thanks to Eminem, who has a partnership with the Detroit Lions to produce their Thanksgiving halftime shows through 2027.
To cap off Thanksgiving evening, Lil Jon will perform during the Cincinnati Bengals-Baltimore Ravens game on NBC at 8:20 p.m. Eastern Time. Renée Elise Goldsberry, known for her role in Girls5eva, will sing the national anthem. It’s a great way to celebrate and have some fun!
