Jake Paul announced he’ll be fighting Anthony Joshua, a former heavyweight boxing champion, in December. This fight is happening instead of a previously planned match with Gervonta Davis.
Okay, so I’ve been watching Jake Paul’s boxing career, and it’s kinda crazy how he’s been racking up wins against actual pro boxers. He’s beaten guys like Andre August, Ryan Bourland, even Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and, most recently, Mike Tyson! It’s gotten him to a 12-1 record now, which is pretty wild when you think about where he started.
He had a fight scheduled with Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis in December, and it would have been his toughest challenge so far.
The fight was canceled when Davis’s ex-girlfriend filed a lawsuit accusing him of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and causing emotional distress.
Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua announced
So, Jake found someone new to fight – it’s Anthony Joshua, the heavyweight champ! We’re gonna see them go at it in Miami on December 19th, which is pretty wild.
On November 17th, it was announced that Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua will fight each other in a professional heavyweight boxing match, exclusively on Netflix, on Friday, December 19th.

Joshua, age 36, has often been teased by Jake. He’s a former Olympic gold winner and previously held multiple heavyweight championship titles, including WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO.
The British fighter had recently returned to contention after a series of victories, notably defeating former UFC champion Francis Ngannou. Unfortunately, he was knocked out by Daniel Dubois in his most recent fight.
Sources say each fighter is expected to earn about $75 million from the upcoming match, which is predicted to be a major draw for Netflix viewers.
This fight is a big challenge for Jake, as Joshua is much heavier than the fighters he usually faces. He’d been training to fight Davis, who is a much lighter opponent, so he’s had to adjust his preparation.
