8BitDo has unveiled an officially licensed game-themed controller based on the well-liked free-to-play RPG Honkai: Star Rail. Similar to the recently launched Wuchang: Fallen Feathers collaboration, this Honkai: Star Rail model is a top-tier wireless controller compatible with PC, Apple devices, and Android. The design centers around Evernight, the enigmatic new playable character slated to enter Honkai: Star Rail in the near future.
Starting today, you can pre-order The Honkai: Star Rail’s Evernight 8BitDo Ultimate 2 for $70. This special edition costs $10 more than the regular editions and an additional $5 compared to the Wuchang model. The controller is anticipated to hit the market this fall, with Amazon indicating its official release date as October 16.
8BitDo is additionally launching a Special Edition Pack which includes 4 replacement joystick caps, a stylish, hardcover travel case, removable temporary decal stickers, and a sparkling coaster showcasing Evernight.
Other 8BitDo Controller Collaborations
In the past few months, 8BitDo has teamed up with various publishers to produce exclusive, fashionable special edition controllers. Among these are the Honkai: Star Rail and Wuchang Ultimate 2 Controllers, created in collaboration with recent partnerships. Most recently, 8BitDo collaborated with Microsoft to mark Rare’s 40th anniversary, releasing their initial wireless Xbox controller under the name 8BitDo 3-Mode: Rare 40th Anniversary Edition. Last year, 8BitDo introduced affordable Black Myth: Wukong Ultimate 2C Controllers into the market. Also, there’s an edition of 8BitDo’s original Ultimate Controller for PC and mobile, themed around Genshin Impact.

Fans of Honkai: Star Rail now have an additional premium controller option for their PC setup – the Hoyoverse Firefly Elite Controller. This controller boasts numerous professional-grade features, although it’s important to note that the controller itself isn’t currently sold separately. However, a bundle with a charging dock and carrying case is available for $186, which some might find pricey.
