Michael Willis Heard, the TikTok creator famous for the popular ‘Yes King’ sound, has passed away after a long illness.
On November 9th, Mykel Crumbie shared the news that her father, Heard, had passed away after a period of illness. He had been hospitalized and eventually slipped into a coma.
She wrote on Facebook about how much she’ll miss her father, calling him her “king” and saying his death is hard to believe. She also said she doesn’t care who disliked him or wished him harm, because he was an incredibly loving and compassionate man, the greatest who ever lived.
Crumbie shared pictures of her father in the hospital, surrounded by loved ones. While the reason for his passing hasn’t been made public, fans have been speculating online, and some theories, even generated by AI, have surfaced.

TikTok’s ‘Yes King’ trendsetter dies
Heard managed the LoveAndLightTV channels on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, where he frequently shared life advice and inspiring videos.
He mixed in skits for mature audiences, and these led to the creation of the now-famous ‘Yes King’ sound on TikTok.
This sound effect was commonly featured in food reviews, but some motivational speakers also used it in their videos. It often played after positive statements, particularly those aimed at men.

Following Heard’s passing, many people have shared tributes online, particularly on TikTok, where his videos are being widely reposted.
