Is Physical: Pacific happening? Eddie Williams talks Physical: Asia spinoff

Are we getting another version of the hit show Physical: 100? Eddie Williams, a star on Physical: Asia, has hinted at the potential for a Physical: Pacific spinoff.

Physical: Asia is a new spin-off of Netflix’s Physical: 100, and the first episodes have been well-received. The show features teams from Japan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Turkey, Mongolia, the Philippines, and Australia competing in challenging physical feats to determine which country has the greatest strength.

Beyond the prestige, the competing teams are vying for a prize of ₩1 billion Korean won – around $700,000. This is a substantial jump from the $245,000 awarded in the first season, Physical: 100, and shows the show is growing in popularity.

The teams competing feature professional athletes from various sports, including boxers like Manny Pacquiao and Superbon, and parkour athletes like Dom Tomato. However, Team Australia’s Eddie Williams hinted that Netflix might be developing a new spin-off series called Physical: Pacific.

After the first episodes of Physical: Pacific were released on Netflix, Chris Williams answered fan questions on Instagram. Many asked if a separate series might focus on the Pacific nations featured in the show, such as Australia, New Zealand, Samoa, Fiji, and Papua New Guinea.

He explained he’s willing to participate, as it’s up to the Korean team and their plans for the show. Ultimately, it depends on what they decide to film and what they require from him.

Because the first two seasons of Physical: 100 did well, a version for Asia is now being made. This suggests that Netflix and the Korean creators might consider making more seasons of the original show. Also, the host, Williams, shared some insights into what happens for the contestants between the challenging competitions.

Things were unpredictable – the power would go on and off constantly, so you always had to be prepared. We were surprisingly comfortable, though. We had waiting rooms filled with food, even mattresses! It sounds strange, but we were really well taken care of. Korea was amazing, honestly.

While we’re waiting to find out if ‘Physical: Pacific’ happens, you can now see who won and who was eliminated in Season 2 of ‘Physical: 100’. You can also read about whether the show is real or staged, and what one key improvement the series could make.
