Shovel Knight Is Getting An Expanded Art Book Next Year

The popular indie game Shovel Knight is getting an updated art book! An expanded hardcover edition, Shovel Knight: Ultimate Design Works, will be released on May 26, 2026. This new version includes almost 100 extra pages showcasing content from all the Shovel Knight expansions and spin-off games released since the first art book. You can preorder it now for $60 on Amazon. Udon Entertainment is also selling a special edition on its website that comes with an exclusive metal art card featuring artwork by Edwin Huang.

If you love Shovel Knight, you probably also enjoy challenging platformers with great art, like Cuphead. Amazon currently has discounts on two Cuphead art books. ‘The Art of Cuphead’ showcases the making of the original game, and ‘The Art of Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course’ focuses on the game’s expansion.

Next year will bring several new art books based on video games, including Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: Material Ultimania on July 14th. This book will give fans a detailed look at the artwork from the second game in the Final Fantasy Remake series.
