3 Prime Video Shows With Perfect Episodes From Start To Finish

Prime Video has really hit its stride with original series. These three shows, from their first episodes to the last, are consistently excellent. While Prime Video didn’t begin with a strong lineup, it’s now built a great collection of shows spanning many different genres.

Amazon Prime Video benefits from the huge financial resources of its parent company, Amazon, so its shows generally have high production values. But, as with any streaming service, a large budget doesn’t guarantee a good show, and some of their series haven’t been successful.

Prime Video has consistently gotten better over time, and shows like Solos now seem like exceptions rather than typical examples of their content. It’s rare for even well-made shows to stay consistently good throughout their whole run, which makes these three series stand out – every single episode is worth watching.

The Expanse (2015-2022)

Widely considered one of the best science fiction TV shows of all time, The Expanse originally aired on Syfy starting in December 2015 and lasted for three seasons. After being canceled by Syfy, Amazon revived the show, producing three additional seasons before concluding the series with a sixth season in January 2022.

The story takes place far in the future, after humans have colonized the entire solar system. Three major powers now share an unstable peace, but a band of travelers uncovers a plot that could shatter it.

I’ve always been captivated by The Expanse. It feels like a classic detective story blended with futuristic science fiction, but what really sets it apart is how realistic it is. So many shows explore the future of humanity, but this one feels different – it shows us that even among the stars, people still struggle with the same old problems, just on a much larger and more intense scale.

A League Of Their Own (2022)

The eight-episode series A League of Their Own is a funny, engaging, and heartwarming show about second chances. Based on the popular 1992 film starring Tom Hanks, it’s definitely worth watching even though it was unfortunately canceled after one season.

The 1992 film A League of Their Own tells the story of the Rockford Peaches, a women’s baseball team created during World War II as part of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. The movie follows Carson Shaw, a catcher played by Abbi Jacobson, and Max Chapman, a skilled pitcher portrayed by Chanté Adams.

These women, like their teammates, have faced discrimination for various prejudiced reasons. However, with the Rockford Peaches, they discover a supportive team and a chance to pursue their passion for baseball. The show is playfully out of time, witty, funny, and, crucially, stands as a strong adaptation independent of the original film.

Undone (2019-2022)

If you’re looking for great sci-fi on Amazon Prime Video, Undone is a standout show. It’s a visually stunning and thought-provoking series that explores time travel and self-discovery. The first season debuted in September 2019, and a second season followed in April 2022.

The series starts with Alma (Rose Salazar) surviving a serious car crash. She soon discovers she can control time and uses this newfound ability to investigate the mystery surrounding her father’s death. The show has sixteen episodes.

Prime Video’s Undone isn’t just visually stunning; it also tackles big questions about life, choices, and what’s real. The show plays with time and space in a creative way, but it’s surprisingly easy to follow, even with its complex and colorful visuals.
