When Redsec launched, players of Battlefield 6 quickly joined, but only those on PlayStation received free in-game items.
Okay, so Battlefield 6 finally dropped Redsec on October 28, 2025, and it was a free battle royale mode kicking off Season 1. Honestly, it was a huge deal! It felt like the biggest change Battlefield had ever made, taking everything we love – the crazy destruction and vehicle battles – and putting it into its own separate game mode. It was awesome!
Redsec, played on the large Fort Lyndon map, delivered a classic Battlefield experience with intense squad combat, shrinking safe zones, and plenty of explosive action. What set some players apart, though, was their stylish look – and they didn’t have to pay extra to achieve it.
PlayStation players crowned winners with free Rogue Ops pack
Electronic Arts recently made a free ‘Rogue Ops’ pack available to Battlefield and Redsec players on PlayStation. The pack showed up automatically in the game’s store for anyone who connects their PlayStation Plus account.
This bundle has a cool, stealthy design that fits perfectly with Redsec’s overall look. The main highlight is the ‘Going Dark’ skin for the PAX Assault Soldier, which gives the operator a masked appearance and dark armor. It also includes a ‘No Limits’ soldier patch, a ‘Target Spotted’ background for your player card, and a ‘Jacked In’ weapon charm – small details that really add to the style.
Okay, so they’re giving us a new pack with some cool stuff, but it’s a PlayStation exclusive – kinda stinks for us on Xbox and PC, honestly. It includes two weapon skins – the Arctic Reign L110 and Early Grave P18 – both decked out in this awesome icy camo. They’re also throwing in a sweet skin for the UH-79 helicopter called Night Raid, a dog tag, and a vehicle decal to complete the look. Basically, it’s a full stealth setup, and PlayStation players are getting it all for free. I wish we could get in on that action!
PlayStation Plus members can get the Rogue Ops pack by simply logging in, going to the store, and adding it to their collection before Season 1 is over.
Despite launching on multiple platforms, Redsec still attracted over 400,000 players within its first day. While it’s still too soon to tell for sure, PlayStation players currently make up the largest portion of the player base.
