Michael B. Jordan, known for his role in Marvel’s Black Panther, is potentially taking on a new major film franchise. Deadline reports that he’s being considered to play the famous detective Ricardo Tubbs in a Miami Vice movie directed by Joseph Kosinski.

Phillip Michael Thomas originally played Tubbs in the iconic 1980s TV show Miami Vice, which aired on NBC from 1984 to 1990. The character reappeared in Michael Mann’s 2006 Miami Vice movie, with Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx taking on the role.

Michael B. Jordan is set to direct and star in a remake of The Thomas Crown Affair, scheduled for release in 2027. With another potential project, Miami Vice, also in the works, 2027 could be a huge year for Jordan.
Rumors are circulating about another Creed movie featuring the actor known for his role in Black Panther. While Creed 4 hasn’t been officially confirmed, the actor has stated he plans to return to the series in the future.
Plus, Marvel always has surprises up its sleeve. Even though Killmonger seemingly died at the end of the first Black Panther film, there’s still a possibility he could return somewhere in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Despite his character’s death, he did have a quick appearance in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, suggesting he’s open to future roles with Marvel Studios.
Now that a third Black Panther movie is likely happening, fans are wondering if the villain from the first film will be back, possibly with a bigger part this time around.
