To be honest, it’s not a major issue. The parts that aren’t animated mostly happen during conversations. When animation *is* needed, it’s generally done well, and the scenes with Garou, in particular, looked great.

What bothers me most is how obvious some of the effects are. For example, the protest scene at the start used completely still images, which was really distracting and pulled me out of the experience.

I’m hoping the fight in the next episode is exciting. The trailers looked promising, with good animation, but we’ll have to watch it to be sure.

Many fans have come to the defense of the episode, with one person commenting that it ‘wasn’t that bad.’ They noted the pacing could be improved, but they did enjoy some moments, like Garou sliding.
