New on Steam. Return of several classics, including one that seems to be a major failure

Welcome to our series covering the biggest upcoming games on Steam! Things were a little quiet last week due to the Steam Next Fest, but get ready for a lot of exciting new releases hitting the store in the coming days.

Release of the week is Ninja Gaiden 4 (October 21, 2025)

This week, we’re highlighting Ninja Gaiden 4, the newest game in the long-running and influential action series that essentially created the fast-paced ‘slasher’ genre.

The latest installment was developed by Team Ninja, the team behind the *Nioh* games, and they received help from PlatinumGames, known for the *Bayonetta* series. This collaboration, along with very positive early hands-on impressions, suggests the game will likely meet expectations.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

After a long wait of 21 years – and a complete do-over of development – Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is finally coming out tomorrow. The original game is considered a classic, but the sequel is expected to be divisive, especially because it’s moved away from many of the role-playing features fans loved. Early reviews are starting to appear, and currently, OpenCritic shows an average score of 64%.

With *Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2* currently the most wishlisted game on Steam, a disappointing launch would definitely generate a lot of discussion.
