Kafka buffs in Honkai Star Rail make Nihility good again

In the game Honkai Star Rail, fans of Kafka might indicate that Nihility could once again prove useful in high-level gameplay, given her new supportive abilities.

Originally, Kafka reigned supreme in the realm of Nothingness, but as new characters were introduced and playable options expanded, both Kafka and the Path of Nothingness lost significance over time. Now, Honkai Star Rail is planning to enhance Kafka’s abilities, aiming to restore her prominence in the game. It is hoped that this update will also revive the Path of Nothingness as a competitive strategy for endgame content.

Kafka buffs

Kafka now inflicts more total damage and her multiplier values have been boosted. Additionally, she serves a supportive role by passively enhancing the damage from DoT (Damage Over Time) dealt by her teammates.

In essence, her function within Nihility and DoT (Damage over Time) groups will continue to be crucial, serving as a key anchor. As for Kafka’s approach, it’s unlikely to undergo significant alteration. However, you might notice an increase in her follow-up actions, possibly even doubling. Additionally, anticipate your DoT team inflicting even greater damage as a result.

Skill

As a passionate admirer, I’d like to share that my ability now amplifies the additional Damage Over Time (DoT) on nearby targets, albeit with a slightly reduced multiplier. Prior to this enhancement, my skill only boosted the additional DoT damage on the main target. However, it’s worth noting that this effect remains consistent.

Ultimate

In Kafka’s latest update, instead of just the Shock effect resonating on struck enemies, it will now reverberate all Damage-over-Time (DoT) effects. Additionally, the magnitude of the damage from these echoed effects has been slightly amplified.

This effect was previously Passive Talent – Torture.

Talent

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that she now carries double the potential for a subsequent strike’s power-up, yet she regains one charge by the end of her turn.

Major Trace – Torture

The previous effect of echoing all DoTs has been moved to her Ultimate. The new effect is:

  • All allies with an Effect Hit Rate of over 75% will have 75% increased DoT damage.

Major Trace – Thorns

Obtain a single boost for your Follow-up Attack ability on Kafka’s Talent. Furthermore, any Damage Over Time (DoT) inflicted on enemies by Kafka’s Ultimate skill will deal an extra 80% of the initial damage.

Kafka no longer buffs her own Shock base chance.

Eidolon 1 – Da Capo

Now, Kafka has the ability to amplify the Damage over Time (DoT) inflicted on targets hit by any of her attack, not just those from her Talent’s Follow-up Attack.

Eidolon 2 – Fortississimo

Kafka now gains a stacking ATK buff when her Talent triggers the Follow-up ATK.

She no longer buffs DoT DMG of her allies. This effect is now part of her Major Trace – Torture.
