In the game Honkai: Star Rail version 3.4, details about Jingliu’s enhancements have surfaced, and although these buffs will improve her combat capabilities, I find myself worried for some free-to-play (F2P) players who possess her character, eagerly anticipating using her once her abilities are revamped. The game developer, HoYoverse, has announced that older characters within the game will be upgraded to match the current gaming environment. As confirmed by HoYoverse, Jingliu, Blade, Kafka, and Silver Wolf in Honkai: Star Rail are the initial characters to receive these updates.
As a die-hard fan, I’m eagerly anticipating the updates from HoYoverse regarding our favorite characters, but until then, there have been some exciting leaks! For instance, it seems Silver Wolf might be getting some significant buffs. According to the leaks, she could potentially lower both an enemy’s Defense and Resistance, making them more vulnerable to attacks. Moreover, the rumors suggest that Silver Wolf will excel even further in inflicting Weaknesses on enemies, possibly matching up to Anaxa’s abilities in Honkai: Star Rail, as she would now be able to weaken opponents more effectively than she currently can.
Jingliu’s Buffs In Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 Have Leaked
The Character May Become An HP-Scaler
It appears that some details about the upcoming changes to Jingliu’s gameplay kit in version 3.4 of Honkai: Star Rail have been leaked, as suggested by the reliable leaker Shiroha who accurately leaked information about Remembrance Trailblazer, Mydei, and Tribbie’s kits. These leaks are becoming more frequent and intense with the arrival of version 3.4.
Based on the leaked information, it appears that Jingliu’s damage multipliers for her Basic Attack, Skill, Ultimate, and E1 (Eidolon level 1) will now be determined by her Max HP instead of her ATK. Furthermore, when she enters the Spectral Transmigration state, she receives one stack of Syzygy. Lastly, the ATK bonus from her Spectral Transmigration state and her E4 are going to be transformed into a stackable Critical Damage increase. In essence, these changes could significantly alter Jingliu’s build in Honkai: Star Rail, as there are both advantages and disadvantages associated with the reported buffs.
Jingliu’s Leaked Buffs In Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 Explained
The Character Could Deal More DMG & Sustain More Hits
If the rumors prove correct, modifications to Jingliu’s gameplay will significantly impact how she is constructed and utilized. If the adjustments to her Basic Attack, Skill, Ultimate, and E1 multipliers are valid, players might need to fundamentally rework Jingliu, focusing primarily on Max HP instead of ATK. Although the specific multipliers and percentages haven’t been disclosed yet, boosting Max HP is generally less challenging than boosting ATK because it allows for higher scores to be reached. This change would enable Jingliu to endure more damage and potentially dish out more damage with her attacks as well.
Star Rail, then theoretically, her Spectral Transmigration state would last an additional turn, making it three turns in total.
In essence, players will be able to maintain Jingliu’s most powerful form for an extended duration, which is advantageous when facing challenging opponents that require more time to vanquish. Additionally, I anticipate the speculated transformation from ATK Bonus to a stackable CRIT DMG boost as a positive development. This assumption arises because Jingliu is said to be turning into an HP scaler, making the ATK bonus less impactful, but the potential effectiveness of this change to a CRIT DMG increase remains unproven. This is due to Jingliu’s existing high volume of CRIT DMG bonuses in her game Traces.
Consequently, it would require minimal effort from players to elevate Jingliu’s Critical Damage to a significant level, and this would be especially true when paired with suitable teammates. As an added benefit, players would find it relatively straightforward to build up her Critical Rate as well. In her Spectral Transmigration form, Jingliu enjoys a 50% increase in Critical Rate. With a CRIT Rate Body Relic artifact, she would then receive a 32.4% Critical Rate enhancement, leaving ample room for players to focus on increasing her Max HP, effectively transforming her into a formidable tank in Honkai: Star Rail.
Jingliu’s Buffs May Remove A Vital F2P Build Option In Honkai: Star Rail
On The Fall Of An Aeon May Not Be Usable After The Buffs
As a dedicated fan, I’ve been closely observing the changes to Jingliu’s kit, and there’s one aspect that stands out as potentially disappointing, especially for Free-to-Play players like myself. The 5-star On The Fall Of An Aeon, her current best Light Cone option, seems to be losing its effectiveness in Honkai: Star Rail.
The reason being, the Light Cone ability increases the user’s Attack (ATK) with each attack up to four times. Furthermore, when the user inflicts Weakness Break, their damage is amplified for two turns. However, in the case of an HP-scaling Jingliu, the ATK increase from the Light Cone would be redundant because her performance is based on Health Points (HP). So, while the damage boost would still be beneficial, the ATK increase would essentially go to waste for an HP-scaling Jingliu.
If the leaks prove accurate, free-to-play players will no longer have access to a top-tier Light Cone for Jingliu, which has been performing well. Instead, they may need to opt for 4-star Light Cones since the concerns about her performance primarily revolve around her kit. A potential replacement could be Ninja Record – Sound Hunt, an event-exclusive Light Cone that enhances Max HP and increases CRIT DMG when the user gains or loses HP. Although it’s not free-to-play, Jingliu can also work effectively with A Secret Vow in Honkai: Star Rail.
Currently, it’s advisable to approach the leak with a degree of caution, given that the details are not yet fully disclosed and may undergo modifications as HoYoverse fine-tunes the character’s updated kit prior to its debut in Version 3.4. The enhancements are designed to boost the characters’ performance, which could potentially limit some free-to-play options for their builds. However, overall, Jingliu seems poised for improvement in Honkai: Star Rail, despite the fact that she still has a few lingering issues, such as her Deathrealm’s Effect RES bonus.
