Wuthering Waves reveals new character Cartethyia for version 2.4

Kuro Games officially announced that Cartethyia will join the roster of playable characters in the game Wuthering Waves, through the process of drip marketing. This highly-anticipated, 5-star character is set to debut with the release of version 2.4 update.

Sadly, the developers haven’t disclosed any specific information regarding Cartethyia’s attributes or its weaponry. However, due to some recent leaks, we have a rough notion of what it might be like.

Kuro Games unveiled Cartethyia (Fleurdelys) on the official social media platforms of Wuthering Waves, signaling that the Blessed Maiden will debut in version 2.4. It was also announced that she is a top-tier character, as her significant role in the narrative would suggest.

The drip marketing post also reads:

Inside her, the forces of the Sentinel and Threnodian collide and merge, catapulting her into a vague destiny. Regardless if her future shines with hope or looms with darkness, she’ll grip her sword steadfastly and face whatever lies ahead.

In Cartethyia’s illustrations, we see her grown-up version (Fleurdelys), indicating that players might get to enjoy her in two different forms within the game Wuwa. However, it remains undecided whether the second form will be accessible only through Resonance Liberation or if she can transform by amassing energy in her Forte and employing a specific skill.

Based on Cartethyia’s associations with the Sentinel Imperator, the Threnodian Leviathan, and the Dark Tide, it can be reasonably assumed that she will rank among the most powerful characters within the game, much like Jinhsi from Huanglong.

Expected Attribute and weapon

Kuro Games hasn’t disclosed the attributes or weapon type for Fleurdelys yet, but given recent rumors, it seems possible that she might be an Aero-class character. As for Cartethyia, based on what we see in the game, she is likely to wield a sword as her preferred weapon.
