She works best with units that have high health and has minimal compatibility with shields. However, even beginners should be able to construct an effective Castorice team once they acquire suitable characters.

As a dedicated gamer in the world of HSR, I get that having top-tier support characters can certainly boost Castorice’s performance significantly. However, fear not if you don’t have those high-end characters yet! You can still conquer endgame content with Castorice by leveraging some of the more approachable heroes within the game. Here are a few suggested teams and alternative picks to help you build an effective HSR team around Castorice.

Honkai: Star Rail – Premium Meta Castorice Team

  • Castorice + Remembrance MC + Tribbie + Luocha

This setup is one of the top choices for Castorice, as it significantly boosts her attack power. It offers CRIT stats, True Damage, and All-Resistance Penetration to enhance her damage output. Additionally, this setup expedites the recharge rate of Castorice’s Ultimate ability, which is crucial to know: Castorice’s Ultimate only charges when allies either lose or gain HP. The more HP they lose, the quicker Castorice’s ultimate gets charged.

With Tribbie boasting high maximum HP and Mem functioning as an additional ally for Castorice to draw health from, this team will manage to charge Castorice more swiftly compared to others. In such a scenario, Luocha is the ideal healer due to his exceptional emergency healing capabilities. He ensures your team remains well-nourished even during periods when Castorice is persistently draining everyone’s health.

Alternate/Budget-Friendly Picks

  • Ruan Mei: If you don’t have Tribbie, Ruan Mei is a decent alternative. She’ll give your team All-RES PEN and bonus DMG, and her SPD buff won’t break Poet of Mourning Collapse’s 4pc bonus
  • Bronya: Since Castorice relies on the Poet Relic set to get CRIT Rate, players will want to use her with low SPD. This is where Bronya comes in — the Action Advance effect of her skill is perfect for low SPD characters, and her DMG and CRIT DMG buffs are always useful for CRIT-based characters.
  • Pela: Shredding enemy DEF is always going to be useful for a DPS character, and if you have neither of the previous Harmony characters, Pela will do just fine.
  • Lingsha: Another AOE healer who can keep everyone in the team alive, like Luocha. The Break DMG debuff she inflicts isn’t as strong as Ruan Mei or Tribbie’s buffs, but it’s useful nonetheless, especially when paired with Ruan Mei and an E6 Castorice.
  • Gallagher: As the go-to healer for many players, Gallagher can easily keep Castorice and her team alive with his Ultimate, though it can be hard to take advantage of the Besotted state’s healing if players mis-time their ult.

Castorice Double DPS Team

  • Castorice + Mydei + Remembrance MC + Luocha

This team operates similarly to the one previously mentioned, but with a slight difference: instead of one backup member, they have Mydei in the lineup. The Crown Prince of Kremnos harmonizes exceptionally well with Castorice, as each time he suffers damage, his power increases due to his unique ability. This implies that he’ll frequently be charging Castorice’s ultimate ability, and Castorice will consistently boost his Vendetta status.

In simpler terms, Castorice may not inflict as much damage as a Harmony or Nihility unit, but with RMC on the team, she’ll still benefit from True DMG and crit boosts. If Luocha isn’t available for your healer role, any of the suggested alternatives will perform effectively as well.
