In the Rinascita chapter of Version 2.0, gamers discovered about Fleurdelys, also known as the Blessed Maiden, who was believed to be the “Enlightened One” and the savior of Rinascita. Players had a brief encounter with her in Act 3, but she appeared under the name Cartethyia. Previous hints suggested that Cartethyia’s playable character debut in Wuthering Waves was scheduled for Version 2.3 or later. However, recent leaks indicate that fans may come across her again earlier than anticipated.

In a recent leak by the well-known source WuWa Land, details have emerged about a new weekly boss for Version 2.2 named Cartethyia. The same leak also provided a glimpse into Cartethyia’s fight animations, offering insights into her appearance and abilities. According to the leak, Cartethyia sports a long horn on her forehead, with her Tacet mark positioned there. Her hands are now tinted blue, and she has thorny projections resembling chains around her head, wrists, and ankles. The animations suggest that Cartethyia can move swiftly and launch attacks while flying. Moreover, Cartethyia’s attire appears significantly darker than her original in-game outfit. A battle against Cartethyia has been hinted at in the game’s latest story trailer, alongside other upcoming characters from the game Wuthering Waves.

Wuthering Waves Leaks Reveal Cartethyia Weekly Boss for Version 2.2

Towards the conclusion of Act 3, Fenrico, who is currently the leader of the Order of the Deep, disclosed that Cartethyia was believed to have died twenty years prior to the game’s events. Fenrico further suggested that Cartethyia might be a danger due to her status as the Resonator of the Threnodian. However, since it has been revealed that Cartethyia is alive, fans have speculated that she could be the genuine Resonator of Imperator Ragunna’s Sentinel, much like Jinhsi serves as the Resonator for Jué. At this point, it appears players will need to wait until Wuthering Waves Version 2.2 to uncover Cartethyia’s true purpose in Rinascita.

In late March, Wuthering Waves is scheduled for its next update, introducing Cantarella’s first banner as a 5-Star Havoc Rectifier wielder. She is said to excel in providing support within the game. Meanwhile, players are eagerly anticipating the arrival of Rover’s Aero kit in the upcoming main story chapter.
