As a seasoned Honkai: Star Rail player with years of gaming under my belt, I can’t help but feel a thrill run down my spine every time we get a glimpse into the game’s upcoming content. The latest Special Program was a treasure trove of information, but it was the sneak peek at Amphoreus that really caught my attention.
On November 22nd, Honkai: Star Rail broadcasted their latest Special Program and disclosed much information about version 2.7. However, they didn’t just stop there; they also offered a sneaky glimpse into the next planet we are set to explore… Amphoreus.
Honkai: Star Rail’s trailer for Amphoreus
During the live broadcast, they unveiled a stunning trailer titled “‘The Golden Epic: Amphoreus’ Tale of Heroes’ “, offering us tantalizing peeks into the story of Amphoreus.
Drawing upon legends and sagas from Greek mythology, Amphoreus immerses himself in the stories of gods and titans, painting a picture of a golden era that once graced the mortal domains. However, this idyllic period was abruptly overshadowed by an ominous wave, darker than even death itself, sweeping across the world.
For over a thousand years, the Titans became unhinged, prompting mortals to wage wars against both deities and one another. Eventually, all gods met their end.
A fresh prediction emerged, apparently foretelling the arrival of individuals often referred to as “Chrysos Heirs,” who are said to possess a unique trait known as the “golden lineage.
It’s proposed that this golden-hued blood might belong to Nanook, also known as the Aeon of Destruction, given their shared blood color.
But it might also just be that all gods and Aeons have golden blood, so we do not know whether this theory will hold true.
The Chrysos Heirs – Amphoreus’ playable characters
It appears that the Chrysos Heirs will likely become playable characters in versions 3.0 and beyond, as suggested by their names we’ve seen through Honkai: Star Rail’s official social media channels.
- Hyacine
- Mydeimos, the ‘Undying’
- Cifera, the ‘Fleet-Footed’
- Castorice
- Phainon
- And some vague silhouettes of other characters that we know nothing about.
So far, we have only gotten more detailed information on Aglaea. And surprisingly enough, she will introduce us to an entirely new playable path: the Remembrance!
Aglaea will be a Lightning Remembrance character and most likely will be based around Summons.
Just as characters like Lingsha or Jing Yuan are summoned within the game, these summons can function independently but will possess their own health meter (HP bar), among other attributes.
