As an old-timer in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 multiplayer scene, I’ve seen my fair share of game-changing perks. The latest one, Recon Combat Specialty, has been quite the talking point among us veterans. It’s a double-edged sword, offering fun for some while causing frustration for others.
In the Multiplayer arenas of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, a particular feature called Recon Combat Specialty has been causing chaos. This nifty tool instantly reveals enemies to its user upon respawning, making it rather tricky to handle.
Well, let me tell you, unveiling foes’ hideouts and scoring some sweet revenge has definitely been quite the thrill, hasn’t it? It’s all fun and games for us gamers, no doubt. But from the perspective of those on the opposite team, it might just be a tad annoying. Initially, this ability lasted for a mere 2 seconds. And guess what? Some clever players figured out a workaround by exploiting a glitch, using it to trigger the ability while swapping Loadouts.
Treyarch Nerfs Tricky Recon Combat Specialty in Black Ops 6
It’s great news for gamers as Treyarch has acknowledged player concerns in a recent update. They’ve shortened the time enemies remain highlighted after respawning, from 2 seconds to 1.5 seconds, in the latest patch.
It might not seem like much, but players know that every second counts when it comes to securing intel. But it seems further nerfs are coming, as Treyarch revealed that further reductions to the duration will be rolled out ahead of Season 1.
The update additionally resolved an issue where players could trigger the Recon Combat Specialty using loadout switches; furthermore, the studio clarified their future plans concerning Perks and Combat Specialties.
Moving forward into Season 1, we’re still gathering data and responses regarding Perks and Multiplayer Combat Specialties. At present, Enforcer is the preferred choice among players, followed closely by Recon.
It’s not just about the data though, as your feedback is a critical part of how we approach tuning of the live game. With that said, we are making some spot adjustments today as we as we continue to take a holistic look at our Perks and Combat Specialties moving forward.”
