As a seasoned enthusiast who has been following the evolution of global content creation for years, I can’t help but feel exhilarated by this latest development between Taiwan and Singapore. The signing of this memorandum of understanding is a testament to the growing synergy between these two dynamic creative hubs.
On Tuesday, the Taiwan Creative Content Agency and MediaCorp, a broadcast organization from Singapore, signed an agreement of mutual understanding during the inaugural day of the Taiwan Creative Content Festival.
Signatories includes TAICCA chair Homme Tsai and MediaCorp’s chief content officer Virginia Lim.
The speakers mentioned that the aim of the agreement is to make it easier for co-productions in films and television, enhance training for skills, and broaden the quantity of high-quality content suitable for global marketplay.
Tsai expressed his desire for Taiwanese businesses to dispatch their manufacturing and managerial personnel to Singapore for skill development. Meanwhile, Lim emphasized the importance of broadening collaborative opportunities between production and creative talents.
On the inaugural day of this market, characterized by cooperation, there were 101 exhibitor booths and more than 300 international experts including media personnel and potential buyers from approximately 30 different nations, as per the most recent figures provided by market authorities.
Attending the morning’s opening were also Franck Paris, head of the French Office in Taipei; Fernando Schmidt, director of the Export Promotion General Directorate at the Chilean Trade Office Taiwan; Naimatul Farah Haji Isa, deputy director of Tourism at the Malaysian Friendship and Trade Centre, Taipei; Philippe Tzou, trade & investment commissioner for the Wallonia and Brussels-Capital regions at the Belgian Office Taipei; Muramoto Chiaki, secretary general of the Cultural Affairs and Public Relations Department from the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association, Taipei Office; and Anthony Rivera, director of the Commercial Affairs Section at the Manila Economic and Cultural Office.
Tsai stated that the fresh location at Nangang Exhibition Center symbolizes a “new phase” in TCCF’s timeline, suggesting a transition towards an industry-centric and commercially viable focus. Previously, it was hosted at Songshan Creative and Cultural Park.
He stated his expectation that the investments made by TAICCA, guided by input from the private sector and industry collaboration, would prove more effective in addressing the demands for creative content within Taiwan.
