The recent gameplay leak showcasing her abilities and animations was nothing short of breathtaking. The visuals are stunning, the animations are fluid, and the references to Japanese folklore just add an extra layer of intrigue that I can’t get enough of.
In Honkai Star Rail, Fugue is one of the eagerly awaited character launches that has recently sent fans into a frenzy due to a fresh gameplay sneak peek.
Posting on the official Honkai Star Rail leaks Reddit page, one user uploaded a two-minute clip of Fugue gameplay. The video showcases the Foxian in all her glory, giving fans a detailed look at Fugue’s abilities and animations ahead of her 2.7 release.
In the video, I was privileged to witness Fugue’s fundamental attack, skill, and ultimate – each of which fans have admiringly referred to as “breathtaking”. The animations, in particular, left me spellbound, with many within the community expressing their awe and appreciation for the HoYoverse developers’ exceptional craftsmanship.
One gamer commented that Fugue’s ultimate might be the most beautiful one in the game. However, it’s tough to surpass Acheron, but they’re definitely a close second. The ult in question involves Fugue gracefully using her fire-infused fan for a dance-like routine, then jumping into the air and strengthening her nine-tails.

These fiery extensions emit power and give her an incredibly strong appearance, and this impression is even more emphasized by her recent redesign. In contrast to Tingyun, Fugue has nine tails, symbolizing the Japanese mythological creature known as a kitsune – foxes believed to have supernatural abilities.
A kitsune with more tails indicates its age, wisdom, and strength are greater. Beyond the allure of Japanese mythology, it’s the intricate aspects of its design that captivate fans.
As a gamer, I couldn’t help but admire her beauty. Her unique outfit caught my eye, and the subtle nods to Buddhism and reincarnation in her character design were spot on. Ruan Mei certainly has an excellent sense of style.
