As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent traversing various galaxies and dimensions, I must admit, I’m absolutely thrilled about the upcoming update for Honkai: Star Rail! The trailer alone had me reminiscing about my college days, albeit in a more fantastical setting like Paperfold University.
On October 23rd, the next major content update for the free-to-play RPG by miHoYo, titled Honkai: Star Rail, is set to be released. Named “Annals of Pinecany’s Mappou Age” (Version 2.6), this update brings back the Astral Express to Penacony and introduces a new location, Paperfold University, for players to explore. The ongoing Trailblaze Continuance mission finds Caelus/Stelle, Dan Heng joining the university on March 7th, but something suspicious appears to be happening behind the scenes. This catches the notice of Rappa, a fresh five-star character and a Galaxy Ranger like Boothill. As she follows the Path of Knowledge, she inflicts damage that’s not physical in battles.
The update also marks a new Simulated Universe mode, where players gain Scepters and modify them with Components for different effects. Major five-star characters like Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae, Acheron, and Aventurine will also briefly return during the update. Stay tuned for more details when it goes live in the coming weeks.
