Judge Arun Subramanian sentenced the 55-year-old Combs to 50 months in prison – a little over four years – and also ordered him to pay a $500,000 fine. I’ve been following the cases against Sean Combs since 2023, and it’s heartbreaking to hear what some people are saying. Many of those who have spoken out shared that they were initially offered possible career opportunities, which makes the allegations even more disturbing. Sadly, a lot of the same people also claim they experienced violence and sexual assault. And in Aubrey O’Day’s statement, she really hit on something important – how people can become “victims” when someone abuses their power.

Ventura, who was in a relationship with Combs from 2007 to 2018, stated in court that he was violent towards her and forced her to be involved in his Freak Offs. She detailed these experiences while under oath.

The court heard from Cassie Ventura – known professionally as Cassie – over a year after she initially sued Diddy, alleging abuse, violence, and sex trafficking. Before the trial began, video from 2016 surfaced showing Combs physically assaulting Ventura in a hotel room. Following the sentencing, Cassie’s lawyer, Doug Wigdor, gave a statement to ABC News. Wigdor stated that “nothing can undo the trauma caused by Combs,” but added that “the sentence handed down today acknowledges the severity of the crimes he committed.”
