Netflix’s A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder Season 2 Receives Rare Rotten Tomatoes Audience Score

Netflix‘s new crime series has achieved a rare feat.

Netflix has revolutionized the crime genre with both big-budget fictional dramas and captivating true-crime documentaries. Shows like Narcos and Mindhunter made Netflix a leading platform for crime series, and Tiger King became a worldwide sensation that people still discuss today.

The crime drama A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is back for season 2 and is quickly becoming a hit. Based on the popular young adult novels by Holly Jackson, the series is doing incredibly well, topping streaming charts around the world. Early reviews suggest season 2 is even better than the first, with a 96% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes based on over 250 reviews.

Viewers are overwhelmingly positive about season 2 of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, calling it a significant improvement over the first season and expressing gratitude for the direction it took. Critics agree, giving the season an 86% rating. Liz Hersey from ScreenRant highlights Emma Myers’ performance as Pip Fitz-Amobi as a major strength, suggesting that even if the mystery itself isn’t enough to draw viewers in, Myers’ acting is well worth watching.

Season 2 is receiving very different reviews compared to the first, particularly when looking at audience scores on Rotten Tomatoes, which currently stand at a surprisingly low 68%. Many viewers expressed disappointment, with some criticizing the characters as illogical and feeling the show didn’t accurately adapt the source material.

Emma Myers consistently delivered a strong performance, especially considering her other popular role as Enid Sinclair in the Netflix series Wednesday. Her character is the fun-loving best friend of Wednesday Addams, based on the original New Yorker cartoons by Charles Addams from 1938 and subsequent adaptations. The 24-year-old actress has also appeared in A Minecraft Movie, Girl in the Basement, and Family Switch.

Jenna Meyers is confirmed to return for another season of Wednesday and will also lend her voice to The Angry Birds 3. She’s also set to reprise her role as Natalie in the sequel to The Minecraft Movie, which is scheduled for release on July 23, 2027. She will be acting alongside Jack Black, Jason Momoa, and Kirsten Dunst.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder season 2 is available to watch on Netflix.
