What is The Legacy in UFC 6?
In EA Sports UFC 6, the Legacy is a single-player story mode that follows Chris Carter, an up-and-coming fighter determined to make it to the UFC. He starts by competing in regional MMA fights, building his experience and reputation. With guidance from his coach and father, Carter faces numerous challenges on his path to becoming a UFC champion.
Carter isn’t the only one with big goals. His competitor, Danny Lopez, also has his sights set on success and is very close to Coach Thompson. Having trained at Believe MMA for years, Lopez is a skilled fighter, which sets up a compelling rivalry with Carter.
You won’t directly play as the fighter you create, but you will control what Carter does, and the game world will respond to your choices. Everything – from what commentators say, to what people post online, to the relationships Carter builds with Chris and Danny, and even the story itself – will be affected by your actions and closely observed.
One of the best things about the new mode is that it seamlessly integrates with Career Mode. You can either continue the story of the existing character, Carter, or create a new fighter and forge your own path. Beyond that, The Legacy also serves as a helpful tutorial for new players, gently guiding them through the game’s mechanics – the developers call it a deliberate way to learn how everything works.
Players will still be able to train and participate in early fights, but the developers have adjusted these parts of the game to make the overall experience flow more smoothly and at a better speed.
