QTCinderella threatens legal action against clip accounts using videos to “hate farm” her

Twitch streamer QTCinderella is suing accounts that are using clips from her broadcasts to deliberately create harassment and negativity towards her.

On May 28, 2026, QT revealed her return in a detailed post on X, almost a month after stepping away from social media to grieve the loss of her dog, Swift.

The streamer explained in a post that she returned online to find accounts were spreading negativity by taking harmless moments from her streams and twisting them to create misleading stories. She described these accounts as harmful and acting in bad faith.

QT has announced she will begin using DMCA takedowns to remove any content that unfairly or maliciously uses her work.

Look, I never thought I’d have to do this, but I’m seriously drawing a line in the sand. People can call me whatever they want – a terrible person, weak, anything – for taking things to the legal level. Honestly, I’m just done dealing with all the drama and nonsense. I’m protecting myself now.

I was so impressed when she asked her fans to help out by tagging accounts that were doing this thing – it’ll save her lawyers a ton of work! Everyone seemed to think it was a really smart move, and I definitely agree.

I’ve been offline for the past few weeks, grieving the loss of my best friend of fifteen years. Returning to find accounts dedicated to spreading negativity and creating drama around harmless clips and content is incredibly upsetting.

Uptick in clip-farming accounts sparks response from X

Although creating short, repeating video clips isn’t a new practice, the recent extent and confirmation of it has caused other creators to react in similar ways.

Jasontheween announced in April 2026 that he intends to sue an X account for falsely claiming he and fellow streamer Pokimane were involved in the murder of D4vd. This accusation stemmed from previous collaborations both streamers had with the artist.

It seems those plans were abandoned after the account removed the posts. Pokimane mentioned during a livestream that they probably wouldn’t follow through with the issue anymore.

People on X are starting to share video clips of creators, but these clips are being edited to include fake quotes and statements. This has caused a lot of concern within the community, and users are actively pointing out these inaccuracies.

I’m really glad to see X is finally doing something about those posts that just copy content from other creators! Apparently, they’re now finding these copycat posts and sending all the views and engagement – what they call ‘impressions’ – directly to the original people who made the content. That’s according to Nikita Bier, who’s in charge of product development over there.

We’ve recently discovered several large accounts using automated methods to re-post content from smaller accounts. This is done to unfairly increase their earnings and avoid properly crediting the original creators. We are currently finding these posts and adjusting revenue accordingly.

It’s still uncertain whether more creators will start posting similar content, though we’ve recently seen an increase in this type of thing on social media.
