For a limited time, French’s mustard will have green packaging instead of its usual yellow, thanks to a partnership with the new movie, Minions & Monsters.
The condiment company announced a partnership with an upcoming animated film on May 20th. To celebrate, they’re releasing special edition products, including packaging inspired by the movie and a new green mustard based on one of the film’s monsters. Fans can also look forward to an interactive experience. The movie is set to hit theaters on July 1, 2026.
French’s and Illumination have teamed up for a new animated short featuring the Minions. In the short, the Minions cause chaos in a French’s mustard factory, and a character named Goomi magically turns the classic yellow mustard green.
The main product of this partnership is French’s Goomi’s Green Mustard. It has the same great taste as traditional French’s mustard, but gets its green color from spirulina, a natural food coloring.

French’s launching green mustard and Minions-themed bottles
In addition to its green mustard variety, French’s is launching a special edition of its classic yellow mustard with packaging inspired by the Minions movie. This packaging is only available for a limited time.
You can also buy a special Minions & Monsters pack with both Goomi’s Green Mustard and classic yellow mustard. If you purchase this online-exclusive bundle from French’s, you’ll also get a collectible bottle topper featuring the new Minion character, James, but only while supplies last.
To celebrate its new product, French’s created an interactive experience at The Grove in Los Angeles. Guests could push a button to see yellow mustard instantly change to green.
The event included free food like hot dogs and pretzel bites with green mustard, plus fun photo areas and interactive activities inspired by the movie.
French’s created a special online area on their website with recipes and fun digital activities, all inspired by their partnership with Minions & Monsters.
