Ex-Spirit Airlines worker hits back at James Charles after apology over viral video

So, the woman who contacted James Charles when Spirit Airlines had issues – the one he ended up criticizing online – she’s finally responded to his apology. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, but it’s good to see her side of things being heard now.

Spirit Airlines announced on May 2nd that it would cease operations after its last flight, resulting in job losses for thousands of employees. While some pilots are seeking positions with other airlines, other staff members are exploring alternative employment options.

Amber Lendof Vargas, a Spirit Airlines employee who recently lost her job due to the airline’s bankruptcy filing, asked beauty influencer James Charles for help by sending him a link to her GoFundMe campaign. She explained that she was facing financial hardship because of the job loss.

Charles faced significant backlash after calling a former airline worker a highly offensive and insulting name, and accusing her of being entitled. He has since removed the video and issued an apology.

She also added that she didn’t respond to Charles’ direct message and had left him on read.

The influencer has donated $5,000 to the GoFundMe campaign, bringing the total raised to nearly $40,000. While the largest single donation was $10,000, the donor has chosen to remain anonymous.
