EA FC 27 leak claims original Ultimate Team feature will finally return after 16 years

Recent leaks for EA FC 27 suggest the developers are experimenting with bringing back a popular feature to the Ultimate Team mode. This change could make building your dream team feel more authentic and like a true collection of players.

Wow, thinking back to when Ultimate Team first came out in FIFA 09 is wild! It was so different from how we play now. There were none of those Squad Building Challenges, no special promo cards dropping all the time, and honestly, it felt a lot less complicated – the ‘grind’ wasn’t nearly as intense. It was a much simpler experience!

Over time, the game evolved, but a feature called the Collection Book was eventually removed and never reinstated. This feature had made the game feel more like a traditional trading card hobby, rewarding players for gathering sets of players from the same league, team, or country.

Rumors suggest that EA might reintroduce a popular feature in the next edition of their football game, currently known as EA FC 27.

EA FC 27 leaks reveal card collection with new grading system

A new feature called ‘Gallery’ is reportedly being tested for EA FC 27, according to DetectiveFUT. This feature would permanently add any player you pack to a special collection, even if you later sell them or use them in Squad Building Challenges.

Like physical trading cards, each digital card has a grade that reflects its quality. This grade will probably depend on how rare and powerful the card is – for example, top players like Mbappe and Haaland will likely receive an “S” grade.

Leaked information reveals that EA is testing a new “Gallery” feature for FC 27, similar to a collection book. Players will be able to submit cards from their collection for grading, with higher-quality cards receiving better grades (like S, A, B, or C).

As you build your collection, you’ll get rewards for finishing complete sets, like collecting all the cards for a specific club or country. Plus, you can add the same card to multiple collections – for example, a card featuring Mbappe could count towards both his Real Madrid and France collections.

This information is based on an early leak, so it’s not confirmed whether this feature will actually be in EA FC 27, and it might function differently than what’s currently known. However, if a Gallery mode is added, it could recreate the excitement of collecting trading cards that many fans have wanted for a while.
