Alexander Skarsgård will play the dominant role opposite Dudley Dursley’s submissive character in the upcoming erotic gay romance Pillion, and he understands how to generate buzz among viewers. “I do have a child, but my past relationships-with both men and women-are my own,” he explained to Variety while promoting the film at the Zurich International Film Festival. “What mattered to me was the chance to tell a story about a community I hadn’t seen represented with such honesty.” (Skarsgård is currently dating actress and director Tuva Novotny, and they have a child together.)

He explained, “I often saw it depicted through Cruising, which presented it as a dangerous and frightening part of New York City. It suggested leather gays were scary.
