Japan’s first kebab store goes viral thanks to bizarre anime girl collab

A kebab shop owner in Japan is getting a lot of attention online after collaborating with a popular anime-loving food vlogger to advertise their restaurant, and people are really enjoying the partnership.

Moses Kebab is a Tokyo-based fast-food restaurant known for its chicken and beef doner kebabs. Recently, the owner has gained popularity online due to a surprising partnership with a Japanese food vlogger.

Starting May 5th, pictures of a life-sized cardboard cutout featuring the kebab shop owner alongside an anime character began spreading rapidly online.

Okay, seriously, the whole thing is perfect, but the best part is when she does the heart with her hands and he just… gives a thumbs up! It’s hilarious, and anyone familiar with internet culture would totally get the joke. It’s just chef’s kiss – the perfect little detail that makes the whole scene even funnier!

The anime girl everyone’s talking about is actually Kizetsu-chan, a well-known food vlogger from Japan. She shares videos on YouTube showcasing tasty restaurants and food spots all over Japan.

Kizetsu-chan raved about Moses’s kebabs in Akihabara, announcing a collaboration that lasts until May 10th. They highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area, as the special collaboration won’t last much longer!

The owner of Moses Kebabs is also something of a legend. Moses himself – the restaurant’s namesake – is famous in Tokyo for introducing kebabs to Japan.

I love this kebab shop – it’s always buzzing! People are constantly lining up, you can see it all over social media. And honestly, with their new collaboration, I have a feeling it’s going to be even more popular – it’s already a go-to for a quick and tasty meal!

Moses’ Kebabs is conveniently located just a minute’s walk from the Electric Town exit of JR Akihabara Station, and it’s open around the clock.

This surprising collaboration is just one of several anime-inspired crossovers that have become popular recently. Well-known TV presenter Richard Hammond, famous for shows like Top Gear and The Grand Tour, recently gained attention for driving a car designed to look like an anime character.
