Solo Leveling Drops a Major New Update Celebrating 2-Year Anniversary

Fans have received exciting news about the future of the series while the anime is currently on break.

To mark its second anniversary, Solo Leveling: Arise is releasing a major update – its biggest in over a year! Players can look forward to new outfits and characters that will enrich the world of Solo Leveling.

Even though Season 3 of Solo Leveling isn’t available yet, the new Solo Leveling: Arise is moving forward with storylines and characters that haven’t been featured in either the anime, manhwa, or light novel.

Solo Leveling: Arise’s 2nd Anniversary Marks the Game’s Biggest Update Yet

The second anniversary update for Solo Leveling: Arise, revealed in a trailer voiced by the mysterious fortune-teller Norma Selner, is part of a larger event called “Evolution.”

To celebrate its second anniversary, Solo Leveling: Arise is getting a major update on May 6th. This update will include new characters, skins, story content, and events. Developers will reveal more details about future plans during a live stream on May 6th at 6 a.m. EST.

The second anniversary of Solo Leveling: Arise brings several exciting updates, including new story content for the Ahjin Guild and Double Dungeon arcs. Players can also look forward to content related to the upcoming International Guild Conference Arc, expected in Season 12. New characters Antoine Martinez, Myro, and Liu Zhigang (arriving in June) will be added, along with fresh skins for Jinwoo, Igris, and others.

This game update also introduces a new story featuring Antoine Martinez, a highly skilled Hunter from France who wasn’t included in the original series. Solo Leveling: Arise is expanding the game’s backstory with these kinds of stories, which is especially welcome since the main Solo Leveling: Ragnarok comic hasn’t been released since January 2026.

Myro is a new character in Solo Leveling: Arise who has quickly become a fan favorite and added to the story’s background. She’s a human Hunter who gained her powers by making a pact with a powerful being to get revenge on someone they both opposed.

The introduction of Myro surprised fans because Esil is known as the future Demon Monarch in Solo Leveling: Ragnarok. However, considering Esil only became a potential successor after most of the Demon Race was wiped out, it’s logical that Baran initially selected someone else.

Even with both the manhwa and anime on break and little news available, these small updates in Solo Leveling: Arise have successfully kept fans engaged and speculating. That might be about to change, though.

Earlier this year, Atsushi Kaneko, the producer of Solo Leveling, let fans know that some new information was coming soon. Fans are eagerly watching for announcements at events like Mumbai Comic Con on May 9th, where Kaneko will be speaking on a panel, and Anime Expo on July 2nd, which has been a place for big reveals in the past.

If you’re a fan of Solo Leveling, you can watch the Arise 2nd anniversary livestream on the game’s official YouTube channel on May 6th. Solo Leveling: Arise is available now for iOS, Android, and PC.
