A Domino’s delivery driver was arrested for intentionally hitting a customer with his car because the customer didn’t leave a tip.
Zachary Walton, a 36-year-old Domino’s delivery driver, went to a home in Fulton, Missouri, with a pizza order. The customer reported that Walton became angry when he found out he wouldn’t be tipped, and a loud argument followed.
Security camera footage allegedly shows Walton yelling offensive language at a customer, calling them extremely rude. He also reportedly shouted a threatening challenge and then went back to his car.
Walton said they only wanted to “scare” the customer
According to court documents obtained by Fox News, Walton attempted to back out of the driveway and onto the road. A customer was walking in the driveway, and wasn’t blocking Walton’s path. Walton then allegedly drove forward onto the driveway and intentionally hit the customer with his car.
The customer had visible injuries to his hand and scrapes on his shin. To avoid further harm, he had to climb onto another vehicle to get away. After the incident, Walton left the area without reporting it to the police.
According to court records, Walton was found at a Domino’s and confessed to driving towards the customer, but said he only intended to frighten him, not hurt him.
Walton, a repeat offender, is charged with aggravated assault, armed criminal activity, and hit-and-run. He is currently in jail and is not eligible for bail.
