I’m so excited! Nightdive Studios just revealed that System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster is heading to the Nintendo Switch 2! As a big fan, I can’t wait to play this classic on the go.
There’s some confusion around the announcement of System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster coming to Switch. The initial post on Twitter and Bluesky claimed it was available on the Switch 2, but the provided link directs to the original Nintendo Switch page. As of today, the game isn’t listed as a native title or Switch 2 edition on any of the US, UK, Japanese, or Australian eShops.

Next week, Nightdive will release a Switch 2 Edition of their game Blood. Currently, there’s no information about whether System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster will also be upgraded for, or released on, the Switch 2.
You can find my interview with Stephen Kick of Nightdive Studios about the remaster here, Adam’s complete review here, and my article about the game on the Steam Deck here.
I’m so excited! System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster is finally here! You can get it now on PC – through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store – as well as on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and even Nintendo Switch. And the best part? They’re planning to release it for the new Nintendo Switch 2 when it comes out too!
