A California homeowner living in a rural area used a drone light show to help a delivery driver find their house.
Tom BetGeorge lives in a somewhat isolated area of Linden, California, which can make it difficult for delivery drivers to find his house.
He points out that delivery drivers frequently deliver to the wrong address, and it’s easy to understand how that mistake happens.
I saw this crazy video online! Basically, this driver was trying to get to a house, and their GPS led them right up to what looked like the driveway. But it wasn’t! The actual driveway is way around the block – they had to drive all the way around a grassy area and past another house just to get there. It was so funny to watch!

Homeowner’s viral drone show helps delivery drivers find right address
To solve the problem, BetGeorge used a fleet of drones to create a spectacular light display, helping lost delivery drivers find their way.
Okay, so I saw this crazy video online. These drones were flying around someone’s driveway and actually telling them what to do! They’d flash messages like ‘Wrong driveway, back up!’ or ‘There you go, keep going,’ and at one point, even showed a huge arrow pointing down, directing them where to go. It was wild!
BetGeorge told Storyful he’s repeatedly contacted Google Maps to fix the issue, and even put up a sign, but the problem continues to happen.
Tom explained they even put up a sign pointing to their driveway, but nothing had been successful so far. “We figured it might help,” he said.
Although some might think this is excessive, BetGeorge actually runs a business specializing in light shows, and that includes using drones.
BetGeorge uses his coding talents and equipment to create entertaining, themed shows for events and holidays, and he often shares these on his YouTube channel.
The video quickly became popular across social media, especially on TikTok, where people were making humorous comments about it.
“Could have used the money to build a better driveway path,” one suggested.
“This is out of my tax bracket,” another lamented.
“I bet they ordered more drones,” another joked.
A recent video is circulating online showing Amazon’s delivery drones malfunctioning and dropping packages from about 10 feet, causing them to break. This is the newest incident to gain attention regarding drone deliveries.
