The mobile game Umamusume: Pretty Derby is giving players a unique prize: a genuine 24-karat gold coin. This is one of the most unusual rewards the game has ever offered.
Umamusume is known for its surprising and creative collaborations. Just this year, the game has featured character-inspired jewelry, drinks, and even a specially designed BMW race car.

Okay, so I just found out there are only six of these incredible 24K gold coins available! They’re seriously weighty – about 27 grams each – and a good size too, around 30mm across and 2mm thick. If you’re one of the lucky trainers who gets one, you’ll have a genuine gold coin and total bragging rights – talk about a flex over everyone else!
To make things even more special, the commemorative coins continue the gold theme by showcasing the ancestry of Stay Gold, a famous Japanese racehorse. His family tree boasts other winning horses like Orfevre, Dream Journey, and Gold Ship.
Completing the list of popular horses are Nakayama Festa and Fenomeno, both named after and inspired by champion Japanese racehorses who have won important Grade 1 races in real life.
During Golden Week, from April 30th to May 20th, some lucky players will receive a special reward. To be eligible, you’ll need to complete the tutorial and finish three complete training sessions, making sure to complete all objectives during the event period.
After players fulfill the necessary conditions, a message within the game will appear, giving them access to a special form to enter the lottery.
Unfortunately, players outside of Japan can’t participate right now, as the event is exclusive to the Japanese version of the game. Hopefully, Cygames will bring this exciting opportunity to players worldwide soon.
