D4vd held in isolation with no visitors, TV, or inmate contact following murder charge

While awaiting his next court date in Los Angeles, D4vd is currently being held in solitary confinement – a single cell with no television, visitors, or much time outdoors.

David Burke, known professionally as a singer-songwriter, was charged with murder this week in connection with the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Prosecutors have stated the charges could result in a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of release, or even the death penalty.

Burke has already entered a not guilty plea.

D4vd’s life in prison detailed in new report

I just read the latest from TMZ about D4vd, and it’s pretty concerning. Apparently, he’s being held completely alone in a separate cell, and even when they take him to shower, he’s escorted – he doesn’t just go on his own. What’s really tough is he’s only allowed to shower and make phone calls every other day. It sounds like really strict conditions.

According to the report, Burke is only allowed three hours a week for outdoor recreation, and he spends this time alone. He doesn’t have access to a TV, isn’t allowed visitors, and currently has no funds in his jail account.

TMZ reports that D4vd is currently being held in a single cell, separate from other inmates. He’s escorted to a shower every other day, and can only make phone calls on those same days. He also gets three hours of outdoor recreation time.

According to a law enforcement official, the facility was unsanitary, had a strong odor, and was chaotic. Reports indicate that Burke is not currently being monitored for suicidal tendencies.

This new information follows the recent announcement that Nathan Hochman, the Los Angeles County District Attorney, has formally charged Burke in connection with Celeste’s death. Investigators claim Burke repeatedly abused the teenager before ultimately killing her. Her remains were discovered in September 2025 inside a Tesla registered to Burke, after the vehicle was impounded.

According to ABC7, Burke was not granted bail and is scheduled to return to court for a preliminary hearing on April 23, 2026.
