Beast Industries refutes claims in a lawsuit filed by a former employee. The employee alleges the company didn’t notify her about her rights regarding time off and asked her to work during her maternity leave.
So, I was reading about this case filed on April 21st, 2026, and it turns out this employee, Lorrayne Mavromatis, was pregnant and apparently wasn’t told about her rights under the Family and Medical Leave Act. Pretty messed up, right?
She also alleges she was asked to travel to Brazil while pregnant and received work-related communications even while in labor.
Beast Industries disputes maternity leave claims
A company spokesperson told TopMob that the complaint is full of false and misleading information. Beast Industries says it has strong evidence to prove the accusations are untrue.
The spokesperson said this claim is a clear attempt to gain attention and is based on false information, which we can disprove with evidence.
We have strong proof – like messages, documents, and statements from people who know what happened – that clearly disproves her accusations. We won’t be pressured by lawyers trying to get a settlement from us.

The lawsuit claims Beast Industries didn’t properly support the employee during her pregnancy and after she gave birth. The company denies these claims and plans to fight the lawsuit in court.
Mavromatis claims she told James Warren, the former CEO of Beast Industries, that Donaldson would suddenly leave to use the restroom. She alleges Warren responded by saying Donaldson wasn’t actually going to the restroom when he excused himself around her, implying he was uncomfortable being near attractive women. He reportedly joked that Donaldson just found a way to avoid being around her.
She also shared with Vulture that she interpreted Warren’s statement as meaning Donaldson was going to masturbate.
A spokesperson for Beast Industries called the claim “ridiculous” and a manufactured story intended to generate media attention. They also expressed disgust that the lawsuit was using Jimmy’s publicly known health issues – his eye condition and Crohn’s disease – to try and win a large financial settlement.
Beast Industries has faced questions about its workplace environment in the past. Last August, Jimmy Donaldson announced to employees that he had asked for a thorough investigation into the company’s internal culture and claims of misconduct, as reported by the Associated Press.
Donaldson later announced that the independent investigation cleared the company of many claims. The review also resulted in some employees being fired and new policies being implemented.
