Let’s take a look at the predicted outcome of Game 1 between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Denver Nuggets, according to NBA 2K26. The NBA Playoffs are here, and sixteen teams are competing for the championship trophy. Minnesota narrowly missed the NBA Finals last year and still has a strong team led by Anthony Edwards. Denver, the champions from three seasons ago, is also a tough contender. However, only one team will advance to the next round.
Who wins Timberwolves vs. Nuggets Game 1 according to NBA 2K26?
Our NBA 2K26 simulation predicts the Denver Nuggets will win Game 1 against the Minnesota Timberwolves by a score of 105-104.
| TEAM | Quarter 1 | Quarter 2 | Quarter 3 | Quarter 4 | FINAL |
| MIN | 22 | 24 | 17 | 41 | 104 |
| DEN | 24 | 27 | 27 | 27 | 105 |
The Timberwolves put up a strong fight, almost erasing a 19-point deficit with a great fourth quarter. Ultimately, though, the Nuggets were able to finish the game and secure the win.
Denver gradually built up a lead over the first three periods of the game. Jamal Murray scored 21 points to lead the Nuggets, and Nikola Jokic had an impressive performance with 23 rebounds. Jokic was named player of the game, adding four steals to his stat line.
With only five seconds remaining and trailing by eight points, Anthony Edwards hit a three-pointer. Then, Rudy Gobert stole the ball and quickly passed it back to Edwards for another three. Despite the quick scoring, the Timberwolves didn’t have enough time left to fully close the gap and win.
Anthony Edwards scored 41 points and also grabbed 8 rebounds and dished out 3 assists to lead the Timberwolves. Jaden McDaniels added 21 points, but no other player reached double figures. The team’s slow offensive start and struggles throughout the first three quarters ultimately cost them the game.

The Nuggets now lead the series for the first time, but they need to win three more games to move on. They’d prefer to win those games quickly and end the series soon, avoiding the injury problems they faced last year. For now, their main focus should be on winning each game and building a comfortable lead.
The Timberwolves dropped the first game, but there’s no need for fans to worry just yet. With this being a seven-game series, Minnesota has several chances to get back on track. Plus, they’re up against a very strong opponent. Ideally, they’ll want to win the next game to even the series before playing at home again.
That concludes our NBA 2K26 simulation of the Timberwolves-Nuggets Game 1. We hope you liked it, and we’re excited to watch the actual game tonight!
