A video is circulating online showing a trash company in San Pablo dumping a customer’s garbage back onto their driveway. The company claims this happened because the customer hadn’t paid their bill, and the incident has sparked a lot of discussion.
Express Rental Dumpster is dealing with a customer who hasn’t paid for a dumpster rental, even after several assurances they would. The problem started when the company’s attempts to charge the customer’s card were repeatedly rejected.
Martin Perez, the owner, explained that the customer kept promising to pay, saying they’d either pay later or add money to their card. However, they never actually made the payment. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to charge the card, the company decided to take back the dumpster.

Although there’s some disagreement about what happened, Ring camera footage from the area shows the driver came back for the dumpster and discovered it was full. Rather than taking the full dumpster, the driver emptied its contents onto the driveway.
Mary, a neighbor, reported that some trash spilled onto the sidewalk, but didn’t block the road. She first thought the resident had already paid for the trash removal, until she saw the driver unloading it.

Perez explained that hauling the debris to a landfill would have meant hundreds of dollars in extra dumping costs, increasing the company’s losses from the delivery and retrieval process.
So, the cops ended up showing up after someone called it in. They told the driver to just get all the mess completely onto their own property and off the sidewalk. Pretty straightforward, honestly.
After the incident, people looking through the trash made the mess even worse by scattering debris around. Eventually, a neighbor cleaned it up and covered the area.
Code enforcement in San Pablo is now looking into this matter, and the tenant reportedly still living nearby could face penalties as a result.
