Man, the devs at Kuro Games are at it again, dropping another seriously powerful support character – right now, that’s Lynae. What’s awesome about her is how versatile she is. I can slot her into so many of my old and new team comps, and she instantly makes them better. She’s a real game-changer!
If you’ve decided to start playing Lynae, we’re here to help you build the best version of her. This guide covers everything you need to know, including optimal weapons, Echo combinations, team compositions, and more.
Lynae Abilities Overview and Playstyle

Lynae is primarily used to support the team as a secondary damage dealer and provide helpful buffs, but she can also be a main damage dealer in certain team compositions. Successfully playing her involves carefully managing specific aspects of her skills.
Loading…
- Overflow – Built through attacks and skills, enabling her charged Heavy Attack.
- Lumiflow – Generated after using Spark Collision, allowing access to her enhanced state.
- True Color – Gained via Polychrome Leap. This is how you can use Visual Impact.
In a typical rotation, you’ll be doing the same loop:
- Building Overflow
- Converting it into Lumiflow via Spark Collision
- Entering Kaleidoscopic Parade
- Performing Polychrome Leaps
- Finishing with Visual Impact
As the premier support for the new Tune mechanics, Lynae also has access to two modes:
- Tune Rupture (extra damage triggers)
- Tune Strain (damage amplification scaling)
This system lets her work well with many different characters and team compositions, adapting to various situations.

This is Lynae’s definitive set for a support/sub-DPS build.

Alternative Sets
Moonlit Clouds (5-piece)
- Good placeholder set
- Provides Energy Regen and ATK buffs
Rite of Gilded Revelation (5-piece)
- Best for main DPS Lynae
- Focuses on Spectro and Basic Attack DMG
Best Echo Main Stats and Substats
When building Echo, focus on a combination of stats, prioritizing Attack and Critical Rate. Her key main stats are:
- For the 4-cost slot, prioritize CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG depending on your weapon’s main stat and what you need more.
- For the 3-cost slots, Spectro DMG is the best choice, but you can also use Energy Regen and ATK if you don’t have other echoes.
- For the 1-cost slots, ATK% is the best option.
When building her stats, prioritize Energy Recharge until you can consistently use her ultimate ability. After that, focus on Critical Hit Rate, then Critical Hit Damage, Attack percentage, flat Attack, and finally, Basic Attack Damage – which is a great bonus when you can get it.
When building for the late game, aim for a Critical Rate of around 50–80%, Critical Damage between 250–280%, and 2000+ Attack. You’ll also need enough Energy Recharge to consistently use your abilities as part of your team’s strategy. The specific amount of Energy Recharge needed will vary based on your team composition and how frequently you use your ultimate ability.
Best Teams for Lynae in Wuthering Waves 3.2

Lynae is currently a very versatile character, fitting well into many different team compositions. With the game’s anniversary approaching, she’s likely to become even more powerful as new characters are released.
Best Meta Team (Tune Rupture)
- Aemeath (Main DPS)
- Lynae (Sub-DPS/Buffer)
- Mornye (Support)
This team is the current best for Aemeath’s Tune Break form and has top-tier single-target damage.
Liberation-Focused Teams
- Xiangli Yao / Calcharo (Main DPS)
- Lynae
- Mornye / Shorekeeper / Verina
These characters benefit heavily from Lynae’s Liberation DMG buffs.
Generalist Teams
- Phoebe / Carlotta / Camellya (Main DPS)
- Lynae
- Mornye
- Shorekeeper / Verina
Lynae’s universal buffs make her ideal even outside specialized comps.
Main DPS Lynae Team
- Lynae (Main DPS)
- Sanhua (Sub-DPS)
- Mornye (Support)
This team is all about buffing Lynae’s personal damage through Basic Attack buffs.
Best Skill Priority

When prioritizing upgrades for her abilities, it’s quite simple. First, focus on her Forte Circuit, as it powers everything she does. After that, level up her Resonance Liberation.
Here’s the best Forte upgrade order for Lynae:
- Forte Circuit
- Resonance Liberation
- Normal Attack
- Resonance Skill
- Intro Skill
Okay, so her regular attacks are actually super important. They make her attack combos flow really well and add a ton of damage when I’m doing a full combo. Her Resonance Skill is good to level up eventually, but honestly, I focus on maxing out her Forte and Liberation first – those make a way bigger difference.
Don’t prioritize upgrading her Intro Skill; it doesn’t significantly boost damage or her overall buffs. If you’re short on resources, it’s better to focus on the first three skills first, and come back to the last two once you’ve gathered more materials.
Resonance Chain Value

Lynae is already powerful at the start, but her Sequence Nodes offer significant improvements. However, these upgrades aren’t strictly necessary.
- S1 adds useful comfort and survivability, along with stronger aerial damage and better setup.
- S2 is a major boost because it improves both her personal damage and her amplification value.
- S3 is another standout, sharply increasing the power of her key burst attacks.
- S4 is a simple ATK increase and is less impactful than the earlier nodes.
- S5 strengthens her Liberation damage, which is helpful but not transformative.
- S6 is her most impressive capstone, expanding her Lumiflow ceiling, improving her state uptime, and giving her more damage through Color of Soul mechanics.
Lynae is effective even without duplicates. Her core abilities are already very strong, but investing heavily in her advanced skills will significantly increase her power.
Should You Pull Lynae in Wuthering Waves 3.2?

As of Version 3.2, Lynae is considered one of the most powerful and versatile characters in Wuthering Waves. She excels at boosting the damage of almost any damage-dealing character, and she can also deal significant damage herself, making her a great addition to many different teams.
Given Kuro Games’ past design choices, Lynae is likely to remain a strong and valuable character as the game evolves. As they introduce more characters with Tune Break abilities, Lynae’s usefulness should increase even more.
