Deputies with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office investigated reports of suspicious vehicles on Silver Queen Road, near the 400 block.

When deputies responded to the scene, two box trucks were seen driving away. Officers pulled both trucks over and identified the occupants as Jose Lopez, 37, of San Bernardino, Ruben Lopez Flores, 25, of Los Angeles, and Freddy Hernandez Polinar, 35, of Chino.

Officers searching the box trucks found a large amount of Lego merchandise. Further investigation of the area also uncovered two freight trailers linked to the same incident.

After a full investigation, authorities discovered the trailers containing Lego products were stolen while being shipped from Fort Worth, Texas, to Moreno Valley, California. The stolen Lego products are estimated to be worth around $1,000,000.

Police recovered all the stolen goods and the trailers used to transport them. They also arrested three suspects and charged them with stealing a vehicle, stealing cargo, and working together to commit these crimes.
