Stranger Things Stars’ New Movie Is a Huge Hit on Digital Streaming

A recently released animated movie, featuring stars from Stranger Things, is doing very well on streaming platforms. Called Goat, the film came out in theaters last month and has been a hit with both critics and audiences. Reviewers particularly liked its story, animation, and humor.

Goat ranks third on digital HD streaming charts

According to PopVortex, the movie Goat is currently the third most popular film available for digital streaming. You can buy it on iTunes or the Amazon Store for $24.99, or rent it for $19.99.

The movie first premiered in Los Angeles on February 6, 2026, and then opened nationwide on February 13. It has since made over $180 million worldwide (according to Box Office Mojo).

Tyree Dillihay directs this animated story about Will Harris, a goat who dreams of becoming a roarball superstar – the best ever, or GOAT. Caleb McLaughlin, known from Stranger Things, provides the voice for Will, and the film also features the voices of Gabrielle Union, Aaron Pierre, Nicola Coughlan, and David Harbour, also of Stranger Things, among others.

Most critics have reacted favorably to the movie. Frank Scheck, writing for The Hollywood Reporter, praised the animation as “dazzling and often very amusing,” but noted its fast-paced style, reminiscent of the Spider-Verse films, might be overwhelming for some adults. He felt the film’s visuals were stronger than its story.

Shade Studios’ Marissa Hill described the story as predictable but touching, noting it would appeal to fans of classic underdog sports movies like The Mighty Ducks and Little Giants. She concluded that it’s a generally well-made, enjoyable film for the whole family with a new and engaging cast of characters.
