Charlie Day has addressed rumors about a potential movie based on the game Luigi’s Mansion, especially after the success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
During an interview with ScreenRant about The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Chris Pratt talked about the possibility of making a Luigi’s Mansion movie. He said he “would be thrilled to do Luigi’s Mansion,” acknowledging the long-time fan desire for a film adaptation, and discussed it with his co-stars Anya Taylor-Joy and Keegan-Michael Key. You can read the complete conversation below.
Oh, really? That’s the first I’m hearing about it. I’d absolutely love to do a Luigi’s Mansion movie – it’s such a great, fun game. It wouldn’t need to be scary for kids, but adding a few jump scares could be really entertaining.
KEEGAN-MICHAEL KEY: Everybody loves a jump scare.
CHARLIE DAY: Yeah.
ANYA TAYLOR-JOY: Especially three-year-olds.
It’s true, it could be a good movie idea, but I’m definitely not the person to make it happen. I wouldn’t know where to begin, and thankfully, I don’t have the responsibility!
ANYA TAYLOR-JOY: I’d support you.
Thanks, but I wouldn’t want the job myself. Please, don’t even suggest it! It would be incredibly stressful. However, if someone else takes it on, I’m happy to help.
More to come…
