When Disney+ first launched, a huge draw was having all of the Marvel and Star Wars movies and shows in one place. Offering complete access to these popular franchises, along with new original content—particularly when new releases came out at the same time—is what makes Disney+ really stand out.
It’s been over a year since Disney+ had new releases from both the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the original Star Wars series airing at the same time. The last time this happened was in April 2025, when the final episodes of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 were released alongside the premiere of Andor Season 2. Before that, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 1 and Star Wars: Skeleton Crew both had new episodes in January 2025.
Fans are excited about the connection between Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again and Maul: Shadow Lord. Starting with Episode 4, as the conflict with Kingpin intensifies in the Marvel series, viewers will also get to see the first eight episodes of a sequel to the popular Clone Wars animated series. This new installment gives the iconic Darth Maul his very first solo adventure.
Disney+ has even more in store next month! Spider-Man: No Way Home will be available to stream starting April 15th, and new episodes of the Disney Junior series, Meet Iron Man and his Awesome Friends, are also coming soon.
