Beep Japan has confirmed that Wander Stars will be available in Japanese on April 23rd for both PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. The game’s PC version on Steam will also be updated with the Japanese language option on the same day.
So, Wander Stars first popped up on my radar way back in 2021, and honestly, it looked amazing – totally channeling that classic 90s anime vibe. But when it finally came out over here last September, it was only available in English, which was a bit weird. Here’s a funny thing though: the game’s title actually has Japanese characters in it (ワンダースターズ), but even the Japanese press releases just used the English name! They did still use the Japanese characters for things like the ‘Wanderstar Map’ though, which is kinda strange.
Check out the official trailer and screenshots for the Japanese version of Wander Stars below.
