The PC version of the indie game Revenger is now available on Steam, created by Japanese developer nazenaninadesico. The game first launched in 2004 for i-Mode flip phones, published by OpenDoor.
This is the second game in the Revenger series to be released on PC, following last month’s port of Revenger Origin. However, the developer has admitted to using AI to create the visual style mimicking old flip phones, which is displayed on the PC versions of both games, as noted on their Steam pages.
Below you’ll find the official trailer, details, and images for the Revenger port. Please note that while the descriptions are in English, the game itself is currently only playable in Japanese.
Revenger is a role-playing game for one player, and it’s a remake of the original game from the Revenger series. The first Revenger game was initially released for older mobile phones.
This title features a “Proficiency System” and a “Synthesis System.”
The more you practice a skill, the better you become at it. This not only makes the skill more effective, but also allows you to use it more often.
You can create new weapons by combining materials and existing weapons, letting you design unique gear.
Face powerful foes with your honed skills and weapons!
This game brings back the classic early-internet experience of i-mode, using the same technology as seen in Revenger ORIGIN. It features authentic retro fonts and sounds, letting you enjoy the game just like you did back in the day. You can also toggle these retro features on or off.
We’ve refined the game’s controls, pacing, and controller compatibility to improve the playing experience, without altering the visuals or challenge.

◆Notes◆
This app is a refreshed version of a popular i-mode app. The original creator now owns the rights and has updated it to work on today’s devices. If you have any questions, please contact the app store or visit the developer’s website for more information.
Okay, so this game is locked to 60 frames per second, which is awesome for smooth gameplay. But heads up – if you’re playing on a monitor that doesn’t have a 60Hz refresh rate (or something that divides evenly into it, like 120Hz), things might look a little choppy. Just a warning to make sure you get the best experience!
